The gardens extending the shrines were beautiful
Full of statues and monuments to famous Buddhists and poets
I found Japanese people so kind today. So many people talked to me, and tried to help me, even if I wasn't lost. One couple took me half way to the drum museum and then brought me a drink, I was overly surprised by such generosity. I've been bowing a lot (arigato gozaimasu!)
