Hakodate part ni

Why does it always rain on sundays?
I revisted the shrine in the morning after a pleasant nights sleep

I then walked round the Motomachi district which was full of churchs, view points (not that you could see much in the cloud and rain) and historical buildings

Cabbages?

small details count!

Winning!

This is the main reason I went to Hakodate to see the five point star fort

the ticket booth for the view point over the fort

rain made it difficult to walk round the whole fort area, mostly it was out of season, rain had washed the snow away and autumn colours had gone

A familiar silhouette?

Hakodate part ichi

So this weekend I went to Hakodate, in the south of the island, about a 5 hour bus journey
here was the half way pit stop

it was late afternoon when I arrived

I went up the mountain for a night-time view

an actual photo of me!

shrine gate lite up

octopus restaurant banner

elephants!

honestly the best thing was the hotel though, loved it, proper bed, soft duvet and pillow, and mattress not a futon, and a bath, shower and heating that I didn't have to pay for.

Sapporo White Illumination

The christmas lights went on today :D

They had a german christmas market on too. Smelled like mulled wine, though I couldn't find any

Hohoho its a white santa!

Walking back underground I found a little art display

and I bought an advent calander!!!!

Class today was developing ideas for temptation idea (we picked a theme out of a hat last week) and continuing drawing portrait of ashley green, which is looking awesome!
Yesterday we had print, it was an interesting process. We had to wet the wood then put the ink on then wash it and ink it repetitively about 7 times before we printed it by standing on it. I think mine turned out pretty good.

Me at a temple

Moerenuma Park

So today went to moerenumba park, I think it used to be a landfill site but got transformed into a beautiful, though somewhat hilly park

The playgrounds here are pretty awesome, lots to climb on

and a giant glass pyramid which i sat in for a while listening to some man play on a guitar

Finally moved forward in silver accessories yesterday and had my wax pendant cast so spent the lesson filing (yet again) the metal down. Still got to finish the dotted shell,  though we had 4 lessons on it. Monday was private study all day, and Sunday it rained and i walked all the way to the station and released I didn't have any money! fail of a day but never mind
